As a veteran, I hold deep respect for the office of the Commander in Chief. I even signed on to join the Marine Corps because of how deeply I care for our country, our people, and our shared values.

Sadly, I cannot -- in good conscience -- remain quiet until there is a full, independent investigation into Trump’s relationship with the Kremlin. 

This isn’t a game. This isn’t a drill. We’ve never faced a challenge like this before: the man who will soon occupy the most powerful position in our country may be controlled by a foreign government. And it’s our duty not only as veterans, but as Americans, to make sure that our government has not been compromised by foreign leaders.
